I traveled through wood forests
holding nothing
but myself
And a light to see.


I splintered my feet on sticks
when they bled, I continued on.
Wearing them out till
they were tinted purple.
blue from the cold night

red from the blood shed.


normally, worry would set in
about leaving trails behind
but the wicked cannot
follow me
to where I am going.

I opened a portal
and peaked within.


freedom had set in
way before this moment
when I escaped the
chamber of my thoughts.

As a former prisoner of doubt ,
I have mastered what it means
to be disciplined.

In order to endure the strain
between my toes.


As I see the light
emitting from a world unknown,
the pain I’ve endured
is a forgotten past.

Nothing hurts me anymore.

For I
have been
set free.
